Remuera Seminary&#8221; moved next to St Luke&#8217;s Church, Remuera Road.<\/li>\n<li class=\"li3\">&nbsp;<b>1883:<\/b><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<ul class=\"ul1\">\n<li class=\"li3\">Located to upper corner of Portland Road &amp; Westbury Crescent<\/li>\n<li class=\"li3\">Built a large house for more suitable accommodation and tuition.<\/li>\n<li>September 1890:<\/li>\n<li>Renamed to &#8221; Portland Road ( Remuera) Boarding and Day School for Ladies.&#8221;<\/li>\n<li>May 1891:<\/li>\n<li>Renamed to &#8221; Girls&#8217; College.&#8221;, Remuera.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p class=\"p5\"><b>February 1895:<\/b><\/p>\n<ul class=\"ul1\">\n<li class=\"li3\">Mrs Sarah Ann Moore-Jones became Principal of the Girls&#8217; College, role approximately 60 pupils, 10 being boarders.<\/li>\n<li>September 1895:<\/li>\n<li>Renamed to &#8220;The Ladies&#8217; College, Remuera.&#8221;<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p class=\"p3\"><b>January 1900:<\/b><\/p>\n<ul class=\"ul1\">\n<li class=\"li3\">School relocated to Cleveland House, leased from Mr Edward Withy, set in 9 acres, with long curved driveway ( now Garden Road ), from Remuera Road.<\/li>\n<li>Renamed to &#8221; The Ladies&#8217; College and School of Music.&#8221;<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p class=\"p3\"><b>May 1908:<\/b><\/p>\n<ul class=\"ul1\">\n<li class=\"li3\">Mrs Moore-Jones purchased Cleveland House, grounds had been reduced to 7 acres.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p class=\"p3\"><b>1921:<\/b><\/p>\n<ul class=\"ul1\">\n<li class=\"li3\">Mrs Moore-Jones retired from the active management of school, continued on by her 2 daughters Amy and Winifred Moore-Jones.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p class=\"p3\"><b>1924:<\/b><\/p>\n<ul class=\"ul1\">\n<li class=\"li3\">Garden Road established ,being the former school driveway from Remuera Road.<\/li>\n<li class=\"li3\">Renamed to&nbsp; &#8220;Cleveland House&#8221;, and takes in junior pupils, including boys.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p class=\"p3\"><b>September 1929:<\/b><\/p>\n<ul class=\"ul1\">\n<li class=\"li3\">Mrs Sarah Ann Moore-Jones dies, 90 years old.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p class=\"p3\"><b>29 October 1929:<\/b><\/p>\n<ul class=\"ul1\">\n<li class=\"li3\">Wall Street share market crash \u2013 start of the Great Depression.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p class=\"p3\"><b>December 1934:<\/b><\/p>\n<ul class=\"ul1\">\n<li class=\"li3\">School shut down.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p class=\"p3\"><b>1939:<\/b><\/p>\n<ul class=\"ul1\">\n<li class=\"li3\">School business wound up &amp;
